How to Get Bikini Fit - DUMP THE BUMP PLAN
*Extracts from an article written by Meg Walker of IMAGE Magazine
THE LOWDOWN
After nine long months of continuous growth , a mother’s tummy takes on a whole new look - that of an empty, wrinkly, saggy pouch. Time to get back to “me”. With lower back pain and creaky knees, this plan is all about rebuilding core strength.
FITNESS REGIME
Four one hour sessions with private Pilates instructor Victoria Munton, in the comfort of my own home, while baby looks on cooing. Victoria has a special post -pregnancy plan that targets the tummy, pelvic floor and lower back pain as well as building strength throughout the rest of the body. Private sessions means the instructor can really help you focus on each movement and correct your posture and positioning as you go - ensuring each exercise achieves maximum results.
IDEAL FOR
Toning the tummy and rebuilding muscle strength so as to relieve pressure on the back. The in-home sessions also makes this the perfect excuse-free way to start your regime - without the need for babysitters
THE RESULT
After 5 weeks, which included four sessions with Victoria, plus some homework, I lost two inches off my waist. Most importantly, thanks to the Pilates, my lower back no longer cries in agony every time I get up from a chair or lift my child .
THE DOWNSIDE
NONE, but to see significant results you need to put in more time and dedication [than 4 sessions].
